In connection to the violent aggression by the Tajik side, teachers and students at Osh State University actively participate in the gathering of humanitarian aid for the people of Batken. Many people living in the Batken region's border areas are compelled to abandon their homes and seek safety elsewhere.
People donate money, warm clothing, and food. Many teachers are willing to host Batken people in their homes.
Under the rule by the vice-rector for cooperation with the student community, Zhyldyz Artykova, an aid headquarter was organized at Osh State University as soon as hostilities broke out in the border districts of the Batken region.
Places have been set aside for residents of Batken in the Osh State University dorms, where more than 60 refugees already reside. The Osh State University staff has decided to donate one day's worth of salary from the faculties and staff to the Batken locals.
