Alpaslan Jeylan, rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish "Manas" University, and Asylbek Kulmyrzaev, first vice-rector, paid a visit to OshSU. During their meeting Alpaslan Jeylan expressed his condolences for the tragic events occurring on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in the Batken region. According to him, they are eager to collaborate with OshSU as a partner university in the areas of education, science, and academic mobility as well as to improve ties with other universities in Osh and contribute to the overall development of the area.
Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov thanked the guests for visiting and congratulated Manas University on being listed among the top 1000 universities in the world. He also mentioned that Osh State University aspires to join this list. Kozhobekov noted that the experience sharing with Manas University is crucial in this regard. He added that a clinic for veterinary medicine is currently being built at OshSU as part of the experience gained from previous collaborations.
The delegation visited the Ak-Buura campus, international medical faculty, the Osh State University’s medical clinic, educational laboratories and got acquainted with the works of the headquarter "Osh State University with Batken" , university's equipment, conditions for students and digitalization advancements.
A collaboration agreement was struck by Manas University and Osh State University in 2021.
