Osh State University and the University of Poitiers held videoconference. The conference was attended by Philippe Rogjon, the competent representative of the University of Poitiers, and Francois Delaus, the French ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic. Abdygany Abduvaliev, director of the department of international relations at Osh State University, and lecturers from the faculty of world languages and cultures are representing the Kyrgyz side.
According to Philippe Rogjon, the Erasmus+ student and faculty exchange program have been awarded a grant to the University of Poitiers. From the following academic year, Osh State University faculty and students can benefit from this program and study and exchange experiences at the University of Poitiers. Knowledge of English or French is preferred.
According to Abdygany Abduvaliev, Kyrgyz students are interested in learning French. However, students cannot practice their French because there isn't a native speaker. It would be good to plan the activities of French volunteers who would work with students. Francois Delaus indicated that he would be happy to help in this matter.
The sides highlighted that they will support each other in cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus + program. In addition, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Poitiers and OshSU on October 28, 2021.
