Third Central Asian Conference on Media and Information Literacy takes place in Bishkek on November 3–4, 2022, with the theme of fostering creativity through critical thought.
Participants in this event include lecturers from the Journalism Department Zarina Mamatzhanova and Meerim Osmonali. There are representatives from the educational field, community and media groups, as well as lecturers and specialists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France, Romania, Finland, Mongolia, and Vietnam.
In addition to learning about offline and online courses on the fundamentals of media and information literacy, participants in the two-day conference also gain knowledge about creative projects to advance MIL, research on media literacy assessment, innovative tools for social media users, and legislative efforts to integrate MIL into the educational system.
The international MIL Promotion Alliance, which combines all the parties active in this field, will be established as a result of the meeting.
This time, the "Media Lesson" Foundation organized the III Central Asian Conference on Media Literacy in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Republic's Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Deutsche Welle Academy.
