The educational facility constructed for the Osh State University’s “Bilim” Lyceum held its official opening ceremony. Ulanbek Mambetakunov, the minister of education and science, as well as officials of the Osh City mayor’s office, faculty members under the direction of Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the rector of Osh State University, and parents, all attended the ceremony.
“The OshSU’s “Bilim” Lyceum is frequently mentioned. The “Bilim” Lyceum’s teaching staff has been very productive, as evidenced by the students’ Golden Certificates. Such lyceums within the university ought to serve as models for other academic institutions. It is a fantastic sign that such an educational building is being opened on Science Day. Thanks to the teachers who provide instruction and the parents who support their children. Let children be raised in a scientific and educational environment,” declared Minister Ulanbek Mambetakunov. Also, he presented the preparation books for the mathematics Olympiad that he had brought as a gift.
The educational building, which is being put into use, consists of 3 floors. The building has classrooms, laboratories, conference halls, gyms, and a library. All classrooms are equipped with modern technical means.
The construction of the educational building financed from the internal funds of OshSU began on July 15, 2021.
“Bilim” Lyceum of OshSU was opened in 2012-2013 academic year. Currently, boys and girls from the 5th to the 11th grade receive in-depth education in foreign languages, humanitarian, natural and exact sciences together with the state language. Also, they undergo training for the ORT tests.
Today, 205 students study at the lyceum. Until now, 2 students of the lyceum have received the Golden certificate, and 11 students the Golden Letter certificate of excellence.
