Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov presented certificates to 36 students after the Youth Business Park’s business training was completed. Students with start-up projects learnt how to properly analyze the market and develop a competitive product or service sector during the five-day workshop. Additionally, they visited and got to know the top-performing businesses in Osh during the business tour.
Each of the five best start-ups received $2,000 USD to help them carry out their business plans after being chosen by USAID and the Aga Khan Foundation, a partner of the Youth Business Park. They are Sultanmurat Turgunbaev’s “Improving the Quality of Purebred Livestock” Project from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism and Agrarian Technologies, Mars Zhumaev’s “Making Comfortable Clothes for Children” Project from the Faculty of World Languages and Culture, Erbolot Jusupbekov’s “Chemical Cleaning of Furniture” Project from the Higher School of International Educational Programs, Aizada Junusova’s “Croissant” Project from the Faculty of International Relations, Akylay Kydyrali Kyzy’s “Mother’s Shop” Project from the Faculty of Arts.
The training was conducted in conjunction with Osh State University’s Youth Business Park as part of the USAID and Aga Khan Foundation’s combined “Local Development” project.
