Osh State University has developed 2 doctoral programs in "Public health care and medicine" and "Mathematics". More than 180,000 euros in grant funding were given in order to build the university's material and technological foundation for the implementation of Ph.D. programs.
OshSU now has 26 doctoral students studying public health and medicine. Each Ph.D. student is given two supervisors by the Scientific Council of OshSU, one of whom has to be a scientist from a foreign university. The supervisor must have at least two peer-reviewed publications in the recent five years in the scientific journals listed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, as well as reports in reputable scientific conferences.
Additionally, we give Academic English language courses for Ph.D. students. Doctoral students have started writing their research papers in foreign languages in the previous two years.
A doctoral candidate who successfully defends a Ph.D. thesis receives the title of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a diploma.
The Ph.D. doctoral program requires at least three years of study. Distance education is also allowed in Ph.D. programs. Once a year, scientific supervisors certify Ph.D. student activities in line with the curriculum.
Additionally, 10,000 soms will be paid for scientific papers listed in the WEB of Science and Scopus databases, as well as financial support will be provided for their scientific internships.
