A scientific-practical conference was held at the university under the title “Contemporary perspectives on the historical role of the individual and Rahmankul Khan”. The conference was organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and the 41st anniversary of the migration of Pamir Kyrgyz to the Van region of Turkey.
It was held by the TURKSOY (The International Organization of Turkic Culture) and Culture and Solidarity Association of Kyrgyz Turks in order to commemorate Rahmankul Khan and introduce Kyrgyz people living in Ulupamir village of Van region.
Professor Kanat Mambataliev, the representative of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, Muhammad Arif Kutlu, Andulmukaddes Kutlu, the descendants of Rahmankul Khan, Abdulmetin Keskin, the chairman of the Culture and Solidarity Association of Kyrgyz Turks, the rector Kudaiberdi Kojobekov, the vice-rector for scientific affairs Ruslan Arappabaev, lecturers participated and made scientific reports.
Rahmankul Japarkul uulu - Khan of Afghan Kyrgyz in the Little Pamir, died in 1991 at the age of 78. Rahmankul Khan, who received the surname “Kutlu” in Turkey, advised his descendants not to sever ties with Kyrgyzstan, so his youngest son married a Kyrgyz girl.
