A seminar-training titled "On the Great Silk Road - the path to peace and friendship" takes place at the Industrial-Pedagogical College of the university.
Participants in the seminar include OshSU lecturers, undergraduate and graduate students, and school teachers from the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions. The participants got acquainted with the text book "On the Great Silk Road - the path to peace and friendship" and the classroom teachings on fostering tolerance and peace within the confines of the seminar. The participants will put the knowledge they learned from the training to use in their own lessons and gain experience to help the students develop the abilities needed to live in peace and tolerance.
"The training will continue for two days on April 19-20, and as a result, teachers will prepare instructional lessons on how to integrate the acquired knowledge in their subject lessons and classroom teachings. Based on it, a competition will be held and the winners will be determined", - said Meilikan Altybaeva, project coordinator.
The seminar-training is being implemented by the consortium "Multilateral dialogue in the border regions to encourage tolerance and peace in Central Asia" funded by the European Union.
