Osh State University graduate Munarbek Seyitbek uulu successfully participates in the World Boxing Championship in Tashkent. In the weight category of 57 kg, he won three victories in a row and defeated the Tajik boxer Asror Vakhidov in the quarterfinals, which allowed him to reach the semi-finals. In the 1/2 finals, Munarbek will compete against Uzbek athlete Abdumalik Khalokov on May 12.
In the history of Kyrgyz boxing, this is the first time an athlete has reached the semi-finals, which has already secured a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championship.
Munarbek Seyitbek uulu graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Master’s Degree at Osh State University. Since 2017, he has been a member of the national boxing team. The athlete is training under the guidance of the master of sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Beganas Sultanbayev and the honored coach of the Kyrgyz Republic Turdaly Omorov.
