26 students studying tourism at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies participated in a training session on using digital tourism platforms.
The students learned how to effectively use social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp Business Messenger for business purposes, which are essential tools for successful tourism activities in the regions.
Furthermore, they learned how to open accounts on Booking.com, Airbnb, and TripAdvisor.com, and manage automated hotel systems such as Shelter PMS, Edelweiss, Fidelio, and WebPMS Travelline.
The training was organized within the framework of the Presidential Decree of Sadır Zaparov on the state program for supporting women's leadership in the country and with the support of the Kyrgyz branch of the Internet Society of the United States in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The goal is to create conditions for active participation of women in the political, economic, and social life of the country, as well as to increase their role in making key decisions.
