OshSU Students Participate in Denizli Yatağan International Symposium in Turkey

Osh State University students participating in an exchange program at Pamukkale University in Turkey recently joined the Denizli Yatağan International Symposium on history and culture. As part of the symposium, the students helped establish and organize a Kyrgyz yurt.

Held from October 25-27, the symposium was organized by the Institute of Islamic Sciences at Pamukkale University and the Gaye Foundation. Among the attendees were Mustafa Cevat Akshit, Chairman of the Gaye Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Mehmet Faruk Akshit, TEI’s Director General and an “Honorary Professor” at Osh State University, along with over 40 scientists and researchers from Turkey and international universities.

Professor Mehmet Sıddık Akşit had previously participated in OshSU’s 85th-anniversary celebration, where he was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor.”

Currently, Pamukkale University hosts four OshSU medical students and 26 theology students under the exchange program.
