Osh State University Hosts Intellectual Competition “Alymbek Datka’s Path – A Bright Path for Descendants”

Osh State University held an intellectual competition titled “Alymbek Datka’s Path – A Bright Path for Descendants” among its students. A total of nineteen teams from various institutes and faculties took part in the event.

The competition consisted of five stages. In the first round, participants answered questions about the biography of Alymbek Datka. The second round focused on the film “Kurmanzhan Datka.” The semifinal and final rounds included logical and analytical challenges that tested participants’ quick thinking and teamwork skills.

In the end, the team “Tilimmen” from the Kyrgyz Language Department of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication claimed first place and received the grand prize — a two-day trip to Tashkent. The “Ulut Unu” team from the Institute of History and Law took second place, while “Muras” from the Industrial and Pedagogical College secured third place.

The event was dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alymbek Datka Asan biy uulu, an outstanding figure in Kyrgyz history. Its aim was to honor his legacy and strengthen students’ knowledge and appreciation of their national heritage.
