The Department of Psychology at the Institute of Pedagogy, Arts, and Journalism at Osh State University successfully concluded Psychology Week on November 22, held in honor of Psychologist Day.

The week-long program, which ran from November 17 to 22, featured a series of academic, developmental, and practical activities designed to enhance students’ professional training and broaden their understanding of psychology.

The first day opened with presentations by first-year students, who shared the results of sociological research and discussed the role of psychology in shaping human behavior and everyday life.

On the second day, second-year students conducted motivational and developmental training sessions, offering participants valuable psychological tools and techniques.

The third day focused on the theme “We Are Against Violence.” Students and faculty discussed strategies for preventing violence and fostering a safe and supportive environment within educational settings and society.

The final day featured practical art therapy sessions led by fourth-year students for those majoring in Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy and Psychology. The sessions aimed to stimulate creative thinking and support emotional well-being.

At the closing ceremony, faculty members who contributed to the organization of Psychology Week and students who demonstrated active participation were awarded certificates and diplomas.

The event highlighted the department’s commitment to promoting psychological literacy and preparing students for their future professional roles.
