Meeting of the SCO Network University Council of Rectors Held in Moscow
A meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Network University (SCO Network University) was held on December 3 in Moscow. The forum took place at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University).
Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, Rector of Osh State University, attended the event and delivered a welcoming address. Osh State University participated in the meeting as the national coordinator of the SCO Network University in Kyrgyzstan.
The agenda covered a range of key topics, including the current composition of the SCO Network University, the role of leading (base) universities in various fields of study, the implementation of the decisions of the SCO Coordinating Council (SCO CC) from April 23, 2025, and the results of the monitoring process related to agreements on joint educational programs. Participants also discussed updates to the document management system of the SCO Network University, the revision of the SCO University Concept approved on April 18, 2024, the structure of the official SCO Network University website, and the date and location of the next Council of Rectors meeting.
Such meetings play an essential role in strengthening educational cooperation within the SCO Network University framework.
The event gathered university leaders from Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
It is worth noting that the previous meeting of universities participating in the CIS Network University and the SCO University took place on November 6, 2025, in Bishkek.
Currently, the SCO Network University includes 12 universities from Kyrgyzstan.
