On December 15, Osh State University hosted a scientific conference for medical residents titled “Unique Clinical Situations.”
The event was organized within the framework of an international conference and aimed at developing residents’ clinical reasoning and practical decision-making skills.
The conference was attended by faculty members of the Center for Postgraduate and Continuing Medical Education, residents of Osh State University, and lecturers from Andijan Medical University.
Residents presented clinical cases from their medical practice in such fields as neurology, cardiology, internal medicine, gastroenterology, angiosurgery, radioendovascular surgery, and pediatrics. Discussions focused on complex and challenging cases, including stroke, heart diseases, congenital disorders, sepsis, deep vein thrombosis, and advanced treatment methods such as TAVI.
The presentations were evaluated by independent experts: Zhyrgalbek Maksutov, Head of the Neurology Department of the Osh Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital; Alima Torogeldieva, Chief Physician of the Osh Cardiomedical Center; and Zhakshylyk Abdimitalip uulu, Head of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department of the Osh State University Medical Clinic.
At the end of the event, the best presentations were announced. First place was awarded to Altynai Sakibaeva, a second-year cardiology resident; second place to Myktybek Rezhevaliev, a first-year resident in endovascular surgery; and third place to Aiperi Isakova, a first-year resident in pediatric hematology.
An expert panel evaluated the presentations and selected the best reports. The winners were awarded diplomas, and all participants received certificates of participation.
The conference demonstrated the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue and scientific discussion in enhancing the professional competencies of future medical specialists.
