OshSU Specialist Presents Kyrgyzstan’s Experience at International Social Work Forum
Nurzyinat Toktorbekova, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Issues of Osh State University and representative of the Association of Social Work Schools of Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad regions, presented Kyrgyzstan’s experience at an international forum in Dushanbe.
The forum, titled “Social Issues in Tajikistan: Development in the Era of Independence,” was held on July 30–31. Toktorbekova presented a report entitled “Practice-Oriented Training of Social Work Specialists as a Basis for Improving the Quality of Social Services in the Kyrgyz Republic.”
Experts from Central Asian countries, as well as Russia, Iran, Austria and Japan, took part in the forum. Participants exchanged experiences on current issues in social work, professional training and international cooperation.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan and UNICEF’s office in the country.
