The following details about renovation and building works were provided by Altynbek Zainidinov, director of the Department of Administrative Management.
- We made internal preparations for the new academic year at the conclusion of the 2021–2022 academic years. First, if we discuss the ongoing construction projects, we have begun work on the Southeast Campus' 5-story educational facility, which will include a library. Since May 2022, construction on this educational facility has been ongoing. Right now, work is still being done on the higher floors.
The construction of a five-story veterinary education building for the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agrarian Technologies was put on hold at the beginning of August. The groundwork is now being done. It is also intended for the veterinary clinic to be finished and operational before the start of the new academic year. The building being constructed for the Lyceum of Education has been finished. It will be put into use in September.
- What kind of construction work was taking place in dorms and educational facilities?
This year, we put more of an emphasis on building and maintaining restrooms because that is where the culture started. For instance, we replaced an obsolete restroom with a contemporary one with 11 rooms for the Faculty of Oriental Studies and History. The restrooms of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty, the Pedagogy and Psychology Faculty, the main library, and the college of business and management have all undergone renovations.
- We observed that renovations to the main building were ongoing. Could you please elaborate on this?
- In the main building and campus area, we constructed light-weight, tiny buildings for ATMs and terminals. ATMs had previously been found inside the university, so it had occasionally been possible to see a lot of students in one place. At the entrance to the courtyard, we have since constructed a separate structure that includes service ATMs. Additionally, a new building of a light design was constructed for the Department of Administrative Management.
