When we talk about the newspaper Nur we should remind about Kanybek Isakov too. Namely, K. Isakov attracted me to the work of the newspaper’s work. I was recommended by him to then editor Mamatemin Ekrebaev. I collected materials, wrote articles, and prepared for the student olympiad. I had a great interest in my work. One day the editor brought me to the printing house where I saw how a newspaper was printed, and how much work was put into it. With time the editors changed, first Satybaldy Mamytov was employed then Alisher Toksonbaev worked. I spend time at the printing house checking and correcting texts. My hands and face were in black printing ink. But after publishing the newspapers, I enjoyed the results of the done job.
With the work of Kanybek Isakov, a lot has changed. He instilled hope, trust, and inspiration in us. We changed the way we were working. The newspaper had a different focus, a wider range of topics, and a more contemporary layout. The circulation had increased. The Jalal-Abad printing facility started producing the newspaper. Kanybek Agai continuously sought out new ways to be creative and made an effort to keep up with the times. He was instrumental in the establishment and growth of the Nur newspaper as a university organization. The newspaper gained popularity among faculty and students as a result of Kanybek Isakov’s contribution.
