The Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology hosted a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Bekembai Apyshev, a well-known scientist who published the first textbooks and methodical guides in the Kyrgyz language for university and school teachers.
Participants included the teaching staff from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology as well as Ruslan Arabpayev, vice-rector for scientific affairs of Osh State University, Gapyr Madaminov, director of experimental gymnasium No. 3 in Leilek, and representatives of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabayev.
During the scientific-practical meeting, reports on B. Apyshev's pedagogical works were read.
Bekembay Apyshev was the first scientist among Kyrgyz educators who successfully defend a thesis at the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in Moscow in 1974 that used materials from folk pedagogy.
Apyshev was given the professorship in 1993. He is the author of numerous important books on the field of pedagogy science. B. Apyshev made a successful contribution to the science of pedagogy and the development of OshSU.
