The fair was organized by the University of Tsukuba, one of the greatest universities in the world, the Japan Embassy, and the representatives of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Center.
In the first part of the event, Osh State University President Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov met with the delegation from the University of Tsukuba led by Professor Ito Hironori. The parties discussed bilateral cooperation and exchange programs.
During the exhibition, presentations were made on popularizing the Japanese language and culture in Osh. Moreover, information was given about Japanese universities, admission requirements, study opportunities, and academic mobility initiatives.
In the last three years, 20 OshSU students studied at Japanese universities within the framework of academic mobility. In the 2022-2023 academic year, out of 128 students from Kyrgyzstan studying at universities in Japan, 7 are students of Osh State University.
Nowadays OshSU students have a great opportunity to study at universities in Japan under the academic mobility program in the long term - 1 year, and short-term - 3 months. Our students also have a chance to get a job in Japan after finishing their studies.
The fair "Study in Japan" was attended by students of the Higher School of International Educational Programs, the Foreign Languages and Cultures Department, and the International Relations Department of Osh State University.
