Standards of Chinese language proficiency in Central Asian countries was the topic of an international conference organized on February 18–19 by the Kyrgyz-Chinese Department of Osh State University. At the aforementioned event, more than 40 Chinese language lecturers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan took part.
Vice-rector for working with the student community Zhyldyz Artykova underlined the importance of the initiative to host such seminars and conferences.
At the mentioned seminar, Professor Yejun of East China Pedagogical University, Director of the International Chinese Language Testing Center Huang Lei, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of the Eurasian National University, Associate Professor Dauletali Akbarkhan, Director of the Confucius Institute of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Associate Professor Saodat Nasirova, Chinese language lecturer of Russian-Tajik University, Yulia Murodova, Chinese language lecturer of Kyrgyz-Turkish "Manas" University Abduzhapar uulu Kanatbek, and head of the Chinese Language Chair of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Department of OshSU, Maratbek Abdykulov shared their experiences.
For two days, experts reviewed the Chinese language standards and exchanged ideas on developing future activities.
