An exhibition of the items collected during the ethnographic expedition to the villages of Daroot-Korgon, Kashka-Suu, Sary-Mogol, Jekendi, Jash-Tilek, Chak, Kara-Teyit, Karamyk, and Zhar-Bashi in the Chon-Alai region was held in the Osh State University’s main building. The student club “Ethnograf” took an active role in the event, which was devoted to academics, lecturers, and students.
The expedition was conducted as part of a research project funded by an internal grant from Osh State University called “Ethnographic research in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan (based on expeditions in the Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad regions).”
The project’s chief is A.A. Asankanov, Doctor of Sciences in History, the expedition’s head is ethnographer T.A. Aitbaev, and other project participants include Ch.T. Satybaldieva, M.Sh. Sultanova, S.K. Osmonova, and G.E. Chynykeeva.
