A delegation headed by Horvath Levent, head of the Eurasian Research Center at the John von Neumann University of Hungary, visited OshSU. During the meeting with OshSU president Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, they exchanged views on the John von Neumann University and the Eurasian Research Center under it.
The delegation stated that they started research work within the framework of the center activities and made their first working visit to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. During this visit, they will become familiar with the culture, customs and universities of the aforementioned regions.
Scientific research, experience exchange, and academic mobility programs of the two countries' universities were discussed during the meeting. Efforts to publish academic papers in John von Neumann University's scientific journals were also negotiated.
"In 2020, the Hungarian Language and Culture Center was opened at the Faculty of International Relations. Today, the center is working successfully and students are learning Hungarian. With the help of the Hungarian language lecturer of the center, David Kirali, many students have been participating in the Hungaricum program for 2 years and have been studying at Hungarian universities. Recently, 5 more of our students are going to study at the Balashi summer school program in Hungary," said Saikal Ibraimova, dean of the Faculty of International Relations.
The delegates met with the head of the international relations department Abdygany Abduvaliyev and discussed cooperation activities.
In February 2023, OshSU president Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov signed a cooperation agreement with Hungarian ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University) as part of the international forum of rectors of Hungarian-Kyrgyz universities.
