
The “Ala-Too Spring” youth festival, held in Bishkek on April 13–14, has wrapped up with Osh State University earning fourth place among 24 participating universities. The university received a prize of 75,000 soms along with various gifts during an award ceremony hosted at the Toktogul Satylganov National Philharmonic.
Students Kurmanzhan Erkinbek kyzy from the Journalism Department and Olga Korolyatina from the Medical Faculty advanced to the semi-finals. The festival featured over 100 artistic performances, including vocal pieces, original songs, folklore presentations, instrumental music, and choreography.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, the festival aimed to discover, support, and promote young artistic talents.
“The ‘Ala-Too Spring’ festival is more than just a contest — it represents a vision for the future, where creative youth are shaping Kyrgyzstan’s new cultural identity,” the organizers emphasized.
