BBC correspondent in London Niyaz Tashmatov shared his experience
On 2 October, Niyaz Tashmatov, the BBC's Kyrgyz correspondent in London, gave a lecture to students at the Institute of Pedagogy, Arts and Journalism at Osh State University (OSU).
He discussed recent events in the global media and the specifics of international journalism with the students. He also talked about his work and shared his experience. The students asked interesting questions and received useful advice.
The organisers noted that such meetings inspire young journalists and help them define their future professional goals.
Niyaz Tashmatov graduated from the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication at Osh State University. He previously worked as an announcer, reporter and editor for several media companies in the country.
