Osh State University Discusses Social Development Issues

In honor of Social Protection and Trade Union Workers’ Day in Kyrgyzstan, Osh State University held a conference titled “Social Development: The Foundation of a Sustainable Future.”

The event was attended by Rustam Nurmatov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers; Talantbek Arstankulov, Deputy Commissioner for the Osh Region; representatives of the social sector; faculty members; students; and public organization representatives.

The conference highlighted the important role of social workers in society and addressed current challenges in the field. Speakers emphasized the need to strengthen professional unity among social protection and education workers.

Mastura Sharipova, Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Issues at Osh State University, noted that social development is a key indicator of a sustainable society, and congratulated participants on their professional holiday.

During the event, several reports were presented focusing on the implementation of social initiatives at the university, improving the social well-being of education workers and students, and youth engagement.

At the conclusion of the conference, the significant contributions of social workers to society were recognized, and a number of employees received awards for their dedication and service.
