Chinese ophthalmologists are currently performing free surgeries for patients with cataracts and glaucoma at the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital.

Five students from the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of Osh State University are volunteering as interpreters, helping doctors communicate with patients and ensuring smooth coordination during the treatment process.

The team of Chinese doctors arrived in Kyrgyzstan as part of the “Express Health - A Bright Journey” project. The surgeries are being conducted from October 13 to 25.

Through this volunteer initiative, OSHSU students are not only developing their professional and language skills but also contributing to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.

The Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of Osh State University trains specialists in linguistics, translation and interpretation, Chinese studies, and philology. The faculty maintains active partnerships with more than 80 universities in China, promoting academic exchange and collaboration in education and research.
