The Kyrgyzstan women’s youth volleyball team claimed first place at the Asian Youth Championship, achieving a historic victory for the country.
The team was led by Ulanbek uulu Kurstanbek, a lecturer at the Interfaculty Department of Physical Education No. 1 at Osh State University. Among the athletes was Gulmira Tulenova, a first-year student of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty, who made a significant contribution to the team’s success and represented the university and the nation with pride.
The championship, known as the CAVA Challenge Cup (U19), was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from November 3 to 9, and brought together national teams from Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
