On November 18, Alexander Zupants, Head of the Volkswagen plant in Germany, and Onder Yuksel, CEO of Global Recruit GmbH, met with students from the Institute of Economics, Business, and Management at Osh State University.
The interactive session was held in a question-and-answer format, giving students the opportunity to learn firsthand about employment opportunities, industry demands, and expectations of major German companies. The employers addressed students’ questions and shared insights into workplace culture, professional development, and recruitment processes in Germany.
As part of their visit, the German delegation also met with Osh State University Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov. During the meeting, both sides discussed prospective areas of cooperation aimed at expanding international internships and employment opportunities for students.
The event was organized with the support of Samara Dzhurabaeva, founder of the German Academy. The institution annually sends more than 1,000 students to Germany for summer work placements through the “Ferienjob” program and other initiatives. Notably, 50–60% of the participants in these programs are students of Osh State University.
