Our Lecturer Wins Silver at Boxing World Cup
Munarbek Seitbek uulu, a lecturer in the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education at Osh State University, has proudly won a silver medal in the 60 kg weight class at the Boxing World Cup in Greater Noida, India.
Seitbek uulu reached the final after defeating Poland's Pawel Brach 5-0 in the first round and England's William David Hewitt 3-2 in the semifinals. In the final match on November 20, he was narrowly defeated by India's Sachin Siwach.
The prestigious tournament, organized by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), featured 20 medal events and attracted the world's top boxers. Kyrgyzstan sent two athletes to compete and secured 10th place overall.
Osh State University congratulates Munarbek Seitbek uulu on this outstanding achievement and wishes him continued success in his sporting and academic career.
