Two-factor authentication (2FA) has been officially launched in the MyEDU information system, which is actively used in the educational and administrative processes of Osh State University.

In this regard, a seminar was organised for managers and employees of the university's relevant departments, dedicated to the content of authentication and the procedure for its practical application. At the seminar, Ular Moldoyarov, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and E-Learning at the university, spoke in detail about the importance of 2FA, its role in protecting information systems, and the advantages of protecting user accounts from password theft or unauthorised access using this mechanism.

Specialists from the IT Academy of Osh State University also provided participants with detailed information on the following topics:

  • The algorithm for working with two-factor authentication in the MyEDU system and the procedure for activating it;
  • The culture of safe work in information systems and user responsibility;
  • Practical recommendations for creating, updating and securely storing passwords;
  • Phishing, social engineering and the main types of modern cyber threats;
  • Requirements and internal provisions of the digital security policy of Osh State University.

 

The training was initiated with the aim of forming a common understanding of digital security issues in all departments of the university, raising employee awareness and ensuring safe working conditions on the MyEDU platform.
