Emma Janecek, a doctoral student and psychologist from St. Ambrose University, delivered a lecture on occupational therapy at Osh State University.

She spoke to first- and second-year students about social work in the U.S. and the specifics of occupational therapy. Drawing on her four years of experience working with patients with stroke, spinal cord, and brain injuries, she shared practical examples.

The lecture inspired students and helped them understand the importance of occupational therapy in social work. Janecek also met with program coordinator Kyzjibek Temirova to discuss introducing occupational therapy as a separate course to improve the quality of social worker training.
