Event Marks 100th Anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s Archives Service
On September 25, Osh State University hosted a ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s Archives Service.
OshSU Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov congratulated the service on its 100th anniversary and highlighted the importance of archives in preserving historical heritage.
The Rector also noted the special contribution of archive workers to preserving the history of the Osh region. He presented OshSU Certificates of Appreciation to a number of outstanding employees.
“Today’s events become archival documents tomorrow. These documents enable future generations to learn about the past, draw the right conclusions, and understand the lessons of history,” Kozhobekov said.
The event was attended by honored archive workers, university faculty members, and students.
OshSU currently conducts research in history, archival studies, social sciences, culture, and other fields. Archival documents are used as important sources in the research of students and scholars.
