In the Business Park of Osh State University, the Kyrgyz Republic's Minister of Agriculture, Askarbek Janybekov, met with young agro-entrepreneurs in Osh. Ruslan Arappayev, vice-rector for scientific affairs of Osh State University, Gulbarchin Suyunova, executive director of Enactus Kyrgyzstan, young agro-entrepreneurs, lecturers, and students participated at the meeting.
The Minister heard the ideas of young entrepreneurs and responded to their inquiries about agricultural IT technologies, crop cultivation, livestock husbandry, forestry, and food production at the gathering held as part of the "Young Inventor" program.
"This initiative increases the interest of young people in the development of the agricultural sector. Agro-startups make up about 30% of the projects created in OshSU's Business Park and Innovative Agro Center. Finance for students and lecturers’ agro-startups, joint project implementation were discussed at the meeting” said director of OshSU's Business Park and Innovative Agro Center, Erlan Kamalov.
Currently, a modern Veterinary Clinic is being established at the university, which attaches great importance to agricultural development and agricultural technologies. Agricultural initiatives are expected to be implemented in the University's Botanical Garden in the future.
