Today, August 31, on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, Osh State University hosted the opening ceremony of the monument to the prominent state and political figure Nasirdin Isanov in honor of his 80th birthday. The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
The event was graced by the presence of Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurlan Shakiev, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, members of the Jogorku Kenesh, ministers, city and regional leaders, university heads, faculty members of Osh State University, and members of the general public.
Nasirdin Isanov (1943-1991) was a well-known statesman from Nookat district of Osh region. He served as the first prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and played an important role in the establishment and development of independent Kyrgyzstan.
