Today, November 12, the International Medical Faculty of Osh State University held the opening ceremony of a Microbiology Training Laboratory and a Simulation Laparoscopy Training Center.
The event was attended by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, faculty members, and students.
The newly established Microbiology Training Laboratory operates under the Department of Public Health and Evidence-Based Medicine. It provides students and faculty with facilities for education and scientific research in the fields of microbiology, parasitology, and mycology. The laboratory is equipped in accordance with Biosafety Level 1 (BSL-1) standards. In the future, its activities will be expanded to include immunology research.
Meanwhile, the Simulation Laparoscopy Training Center, established under the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Surgical Disciplines, is aimed at enhancing the practical skills of students and young doctors in the field of minimally invasive surgery. The center is equipped with eight modern laparoscopic simulators, allowing trainees to model real surgical situations.
These new laboratories are designed to elevate the faculty’s educational and research activities to a new level and to deepen students’ practical experience in medical training.
