Ozgen Medical College was established as a medical institution by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, based on Decision No. 09-42256 dated July 25, 2000, and Decision No. 4 of the Academic Council of OshSU dated January 15, 2000. On December 29, 2003, following a decision by the Academic Council of OshSU, it transitioned into a medical college affiliated with OshSU and gained independent status.

University dated May 25, 2018, No. 7, and the order of the rector dated May 26, 2018, No. 438, Uzgen Medical College under Osh State University was renamed to Uzgen International Medical College under Osh State University.

MISSION OF THE COLLEGE: To educate secondary medical specialists dedicated to safeguarding public health in the region by implementing national healthcare programs and contributing to OshSU's strategic goals.
