On December 16, the official opening of the Volunteer Club took place at Osh State University. The ceremony was attended by Vice-Rector for Social and Community Engagement and Youth Policy Nurzhamal Mapaeva, representatives of the Youth Committee, the Ombudsman’s Office, as well as active students from the university’s institutes, faculties, and colleges.

The main goal of the club is to increase students’ civic engagement, involve them in serving society, and promote values such as kindness and responsibility.

According to the head of the club, Osh State University specialist for educational work Muslima Dovurova, students had previously participated in various events as volunteers. However, since September, a special regulation has been adopted, and the club has officially begun its activities.

During the opening ceremony, students received information about the areas and opportunities of volunteer work. Now they can actively participate not only in university events but also in activities at the city level.
