More than 50 agreements were signed between Kyrgyz and Russian universities

The III Forum of University Rectors of Kyrgyzstan and Russia started with plenar sessions at Osh State University. Reports on the topics of "Science and Innovation in Modern Universities," "Preparing Human Resources for the Development of the EAEU Economy," and "Pedagogy of the Future: New Methods of Teaching and Education" were presented and discussions took place.

During the forum, 51 agreements were signed between universities from the two countries. Osh State University established agreements with Yeltsin Ural Federal University, Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Kazan Federal University, Chelyabinsk State University, Lobachevsky Institute of the Russian Language, Southern Federal University, Glazov State Pedagogical University, Kalmyk State University, and Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University.

At the first forum in 2019, Osh State University signed bilateral agreements with 13 Russian universities, and during the second forum, the university established agreements with Lomonosov Moscow State University, Sechenov Moscow State Medical University, and the Russian State Humanitarian University.

Currently, Osh State University collaborates with 77 Russian universities. Among them, the university has signed memorandums aimed at implementing double degree educational programs in 21 specialties. At present, 12 double degree programs are successfully being implemented.

The forum is attended by Valery Falkov, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, and more than 80 rectors from both countries.
