Akylbek Orozmatov: From Osh State University to the Ministry of Education and Science
Akylbek Orozmatov, a graduate of the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology and Journalism at Osh State University in 2013, has forged an impressive career path that reflects the transformative power of education. Currently serving as a Public Relations Specialist at the World Bank Projects Implementation Department within the Ministry of Education and Science, Orozmatov attributes much of his success to his alma mater.
“Many outstanding individuals have received their education at Osh State University. For me, this institution holds a special place in my life. It represents the fulfillment of my dream to study at Osh State University,” says Orozmatov.
To him, Osh State University is more than just an academic institution; it’s a nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and exploration. “Osh State University is not just a place where you spend a few years to earn a diploma. It’s a home of knowledge that paved the way for my self-development and exploration. Here, I found my calling, defined my life goals, and gained the means to achieve them,” he emphasizes.
Reflecting on his time at the university, Orozmatov highlights the invaluable lessons he learned beyond textbooks and lectures. “The university not only taught me formulas and theories but also how to see the world more broadly, to deeply understand its complexity and beauty. Here, I learned to think critically, analyze information, and draw reasonable conclusions,” he shares.
Moreover, Orozmatov cherishes the bonds he formed with fellow students, describing them as companions with whom he shares life’s joys, dreams, hopes, disappointments, and victories. “The university prepared me for life, teaching me to adapt to its changes and to face challenges with dignity and determination. Most importantly, it taught me how to learn—a habit, a skill that I carry with me for life,” he adds.
Looking back, Orozmatov expresses profound gratitude to his alma mater for shaping his character, instilling faith, and guiding his future. “Thank you, Osh State University, for everything you have given me,” he concludes, speaking as one of the proud alumni who owe their success to the transformative experience of education at Osh State University.
