Aigul Osmonova, an assistant professor at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication at Osh State University, secured first place in a national competition. She received a diploma and a laptop as her prize.
The competition, titled “Modern Methods of Teaching the National Language”, saw participation from 25 educators representing 13 higher education institutions across the country. Along with Aigul Osmonova, Osh State University was represented by assistant professors Bermet Zakirova and Zhazgul Maksutova. The competition evaluated educators who teach the state Kyrgyz language as a native, second, or foreign language, focusing on their teaching techniques, development activities, achievements, and contributions.
Since 2021, Osh State University has been using a level-based system to teach the Kyrgyz language, and a textbook titled “Professional Kyrgyz Language” has been published for students at levels A2 and B2. The judging panel highly praised the innovative methods and technologies used in this approach.
The competition was organized in Kyrgyzstan to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Kyrgyz Language Law and the 80th anniversary of Ishenaly Arabaev State University.
