Postgraduate students and researchers attended a training session on “Scientific Research Methodology” held at Osh State University on October 12. Guljamal Anarbaeva, the chief specialist of the postgraduate and doctoral department, provided an overview of the key responsibilities and organizational aspects for postgraduate students and researchers. The session covered essential principles of research methodology, criteria for evaluating research work, and guidance on publishing in RSCI, SCOPUS, and Web of Science journals.
In 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science issued the first licenses to Osh State University’s postgraduate program for 101 specialties across 15 fields. Currently, the university has about 300 postgraduate students engaged in scientific research, supervised by 115 scholars, including 110 doctors of science and five candidates of science or associate professors.
The research guidance at OshSU is provided by 45 doctors of science and professors, with two candidates of science and associate professors also involved. Furthermore, 65 doctors of science and professors, along with three candidates of science and associate professors from various educational and research institutions, also serve as supervisors. Among these supervisors are renowned scientists, including academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
