On November 5, representatives from the 8,000-bed Dongguk University Medical Center in Seoul, Korea, Kim Jo Son, Kim Hyun Min, and Kim Gap Yong, visited Osh State University. Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov welcomed the delegation.
The meeting covered various areas for potential collaboration, including advancements in medical education, enhancing clinical service standards, experience sharing, and scientific research initiatives. Kim Jo Son, the head physician of Dongguk University Medical Center, announced plans to support OshSU’s clinics with cutting-edge medical equipment. A formal memorandum of cooperation was signed between the institutions.
The delegation toured OshSU’s new clinic, medical facilities, and laboratories, met with students, and delivered guest lectures.
As a highlight, the guests showcased ETHISYNC-manufactured medical equipment. Notably, they introduced the NEAREST device, which can detect internal organ issues by examining a sclera of the human eye. This tool enables people to receive initial health screenings at their workplace, eliminating the need for a hospital visit. The device has undergone six months of training and has received licensing. The delegation emphasized that their primary goal is to promote health in remote areas through the use of artificial intelligence.
