Two scholars from Osh State University, Gulmira Zhutanova and Baktygul Baytikova, have been honored as the top educators in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Zhutanova leads the Department of Pedagogy at the Institute of Pedagogy, Art, and Journalism, while Baytikova is an associate professor in the Department of Philological Educational Technologies at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
The prestigious recognition was awarded by Kazakhstan’s Innovation Center “New Kazakhstan” and the National Research Center “Bilim-orkenieti.” Both scholars received a first-class diploma, a badge, and the statuette “Best Educator of the CIS.”
This accolade was granted based on the results of a competitive process that evaluated the participants’ pedagogical research, school achievements, textbooks, and scholarly articles. The competition attracted hundreds of educators and researchers from across the CIS.
