Osh State University Hosts Workshop on Leveraging Scopus and SciVal Tools for Research Purposes
Osh State University hosts a workshop focused on leveraging the power of Scopus tools for academic research. Organized in collaboration with the company “Elsevier,” the seminar-training session aimed to equip participants with essential insights and practical strategies for utilizing Scopus and SciVal tools effectively in scientific projects.
The event featured Rabiga Khozhamkul, a consultant from Elsevier specializing in Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Her expertise illuminated various facets of Scopus and SciVal, ranging from navigating these tools for research topic exploration to advancing author visibility, elevating the Hirsch index, and providing guidance for scholarly mentorship.
Diverse professionals attended the workshop, including department members, scientists, IT specialists, and faculty representatives from regional universities.
Over the span of two intensive days, attendees delve into comprehensive sessions covering a spectrum of topics crucial for modern research endeavors. Practical demonstrations and interactive discussions formed the core of the workshop, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Furthermore, the culmination of this knowledge-sharing initiative extends beyond the seminar itself: Osh State University proudly announced the inauguration of the “Scopus Research Hub,” a resource center poised to facilitate continuous support and guidance in utilizing Scopus tools effectively. This hub will serve as a focal point for ongoing collaboration, education, and resource dissemination among the academic community.
