Meeting with Sports Icons
The students of the Faculty of Physical Education met with distinguished alumni, Bekten Erkebay Uulu and Akzhol Onorbaev. Bekten, a silver medalist in the World Cup of Sambo, and Akzhol, an esteemed coach in the Kyrgyz Republic, shared their remarkable journeys in sports, reflecting on the trials, triumphs, and invaluable guidance received during their tenure at Osh State University.
Bekten Erkebay Uulu, a two-time champion at the Gordeev Master Tournament, holder of the silver medal in the World Cup of Sambo, and silver medalist in the Asian Championship, also boasts two bronze medals from the World Championship. His accolades further include being named the Athlete of the Year and achieving the title of Master of Sports of International Class. His graduation from the Faculty of Physical Education at Osh State University in 2016 marked a significant milestone in his career.
The primary objective of this meeting was to foster connections between renowned figures and students, aiming to inspire and motivate the next generation. The exchange provided invaluable insights into the dedication, perseverance, and sacrifices required to excel in the world of sports.
