Currently pursuing academic mobility at Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey, Zhanara Zhanybaeva, a student at Osh State University, shares her passion for music, literature, and her aspirations in medicine.
Zhanara, originally from the village of Otuz-Adyr in the Kara-Suu district of Osh region, reveals that her childhood dreams didn’t initially incline towards medicine. Instead, her fascination with languages led her to consider a career in linguistics. However, witnessing her sister’s journey in medicine ignited a newfound interest and determination within her.
Reflecting on her journey, Zhanara emphasizes the importance of having someone who guides and inspires career choices, citing her sister Reyina Zhanybaeva as her guiding light. Reyina, having graduated from Osh State University’s medical faculty, is currently pursuing her medical residency in Turkey.
“My name is Zhanara, I’m 20 years old, studying in the 3rd year of Osh State University’s Medical Faculty. I come from the village of Otuz-Adyr in the Kara-Suu district of Osh region. Currently, I am enrolled in Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey as part of an academic mobility program. I learned about this program through our coordinator, Aynura Kulnazarova, and applied immediately. She has been a constant support and I’m truly grateful to her," Zhanara expressed her gratitude.
Impressed by the educational system at Sivas Cumhuriyet University and the advanced medical facilities in Turkey, Zhanara encourages fellow students to embrace foreign language learning and opportunities for international exposure. She intends to continue her academic pursuits through further mobility programs, aspiring to become a proficient obstetrician-gynecologist.
“Osh State University is an endless source of knowledge for me. Thanks to the university, I’ve begun to explore the world and have found many new friends. Happy anniversary, Osh State University!" Zhanara concludes, highlighting the profound impact her alma mater has had on her personal and academic growth.
