The “Sector Development Program: Skills for Inclusive Growth” project is nearing completion. On November 1, its final conference was held in Bishkek, attended by key figures such as the chairmen of the Zhogorku Kenesh’s committees on social policy, transport, communications, architecture, and construction, along with members of parliament. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Rasul Abazbek uulu and Zheng Wu, Director of the Asian Development Bank’s Country Director for the Kyrgyz Republic, were also present.
Participants included former director of the Industrial and Pedagogical College of Osh State University Oljobai Shaimkulov, the newly appointed director Mirlan Manashov, and head of the department Toktayim Umurbekova. The event featured reports on achievements within the Centers of Excellence established at colleges, and students showcased costumes they had designed in a fashion show. Deputies and experts praised the project’s targeted focus and extended gratitude to the leaders who played a role in its success.
The project aims to strengthen vocational education across the country, establishing Centers of Excellence at colleges to create conditions conducive to vocational training. It also supports pilot institutions in primary and secondary vocational education.
