The signing ceremony participants were the Rector of Sivas Republican University, Professor Alim Yildiz, Vice-Rectors, Professor Unal Kılıç, Professor Hakan Yekbash, Head of the Department of International Relations, Professor Ali Aksu, faculty and students of OshSU.

Rector of Osh State University Kudaiberdi Kojobekov visited the University of the Republic of Turkey in 2020, met with Rector Alim Yildiz and decided to send 100 students of Osh State University to academic mobility every year.

During the meeting, the rector of Osh State University, Professor Kudaiberdi Kojobekov and the rector of Sivas Republican University, Professor Alim Yildiz signed a bilateral cooperation agreement.

Sivas Cumhuriyet University is the 13th university in Turkey to open in 1974. 47,000 local and 2,500 foreign students study at the university.
